About

My name is Ryan Danforth.  I’m 38 years old and married to the most beautiful, outgoing and energetic woman I’ve ever met.  We’ve been married for 13 years and have 5 wonderful children.  While I love my wife and children dearly, this blog will not contain many (if any) references about them.  Some things I’ll prefer to keep private…

In addition to being a husband and father, I’m also a manager at a software company in Utah, an entrepreneur, a triathlete, golfer, skier/snowboarder, surfer, and a Mormon to boot.

Lately I’ve been having a nagging feeling to start writing my thoughts down so what better way to do this than to start a blog?  I have been keeping a journal off and on over the years but my penmanship is so bad that even I can hardly read it.  At the end of 2009 I suffered from a grand mal seizure whereupon a tumor was found in my brain.  Brain surgery has left my right hand a bit weak so I’m not the fastest typist around.  Actually I’ve never been able to type very fast but at least now I have an excuse!

I’m really not sure what I’ll be blogging about.  Maybe my wpm score from a typing tutor, maybe my adventures in triathlon,  my business endeavors,  my spiritual and religious thoughts or just about any crazy ideas that come to my tumor stricken brain.

One thing is for sure,  I have so many thoughts and ideas swimming around in my head  that hopefully if I get them written down I’ll have room for more, or at least get a peaceful nights sleep!

Please keep in mind that while my current calling or responsibility in my Church is to go around once per month and speak in one of ten different congregations in our area, I am by no means an official spokesman for the LDS Church.  I have been doing this now for over five years and have quite the collection of talks stored up.  I’ll start posting these in the Church Talks section of this blog if you’re interested in reading them

So here it goes…  Welcome to my blog!

      Hey Jeff,

Long time no see! Glad you stopped by my site. I remember that day at Costco. I know it’s been longer than 5 years, crazy how time flies. If you’re in Riverton then we’re practically neighbors since I’m in Saratoga Springs. We’ll have to get our families together one of these days to hang out. I’m married with 5 kids ranging from 15 down to 5.

We’ll be in touch, take care!
      Ryan
